D&E provides the following programs to individuals and families who are ready to purchase a home.
First-Time Homebuyer's Workshop
The goal of the 1st Time Homebuyer’s Workshop is to educate potential homebuyers about the mechanics of the home buying process, as well as equip participants with the necessary tools to make a wise purchasing decision and maintain homeownership.
Our 6-8 hour pre-purchase workshop includes:

Education on the buying process from A-Z
-
Industry professionals (i.e. insurance agents, realtor, home inspectors, etc.) on hand to discuss their roles

Information on the “do’s & don’ts” of the industry
-
Overview and discussion of homeownership readiness, budgeting, credit, and other related topics
-
Open dialogue to ask questions and share with other participants
Lease-Purchase Program
Designed to assist individuals and families who have faced challenges qualifying for a home mortgage to realize homeownership. The goal of the program is to advocate homeownership through training, one on one counseling, and education in an effort to instill financial empowerment and revitalize communities.

Program Members:
Attend a series of monthly workshops and/or one on one counseling sessions to receive counseling to address budgeting, savings, and credit challenges

Create individualized spending plans

Receive comprehensive action plans to strategically address and eliminate barriers to ‘mortgage readiness’
-
Individual assessments and plans designed to accomplish ‘mortgage readiness” in 12 months or less
-
Locate a property and occupy the property in as little as 2-3 months
Lease-Purchase Program Eligibility
Program Eligibility:
Attend an initial workshop to be introduced to the Lease-Purchase philosophy, program structure, creed, and club expectations.

Commitment to participate in monthly club sessions
